The term celestial refers to anything that is related to or associated with the sky, heavens or cosmos. Therefore, celestial objects refer to any object in space such as stars, planets, moons, comets and asteroids among others. These objects are part of our universe and their movements and interactions are studied by astronomers to gain a better understanding of the workings of the cosmos.
